David J. Marquardt

David J. Marquardt has been exclusively a trial attorney since his legal career began. He focuses his practice in family law and divorce matters, including property division, support and child custody, as well as criminal defense and complex civil lawsuits.

Mr. Marquardt prides himself on quickly identifying his clients' problems, then taking a thorough and aggressive approach toward reaching the ideal solution to those problems. He firmly believes that every case requires creative strategy and planning to achieve a successful result, whether through a negotiated settlement or by way of a contested trial.

Prior to joining The Duff Law Firm in June 2011, Mr. Marguardt gained years of experience as an effective litigator and meticulous negotiator throughout Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is licensed in all three jurisdictions.
